Please help us learn our colors...
For the first couple of weeks of school, we will be studying colors as we be become used to our new classroom. Please dress your child in the following colors according to the schedule.
Red                           August 4 &9
Yellow                     August 5 & 10
Orange                     August 6 &11
Pink                      August 12
Gray                      August 13
Blue                      August 16
Green                   August 17
Black/White (pic. day, wear whatever) :)     August 18
Brown                  August 19
Purple                 August 20

Mrs. Amy, formerly our computer teacher is now our principal! I am looking forward to working for Mrs. Amy this year. I'm sure she has great things in mind for West Chester.
 
Picture Day
Our fall picture day is a bit earlier this year. It will be on Wed. August 18th. This is black/white day but that may not be the best choice of colors for our pictures! So...on this day, just ignore our color schedule and let your child wear what looks best for a fantastic first school picture.
When the pictures come in, the entire package will be sent to you. Unfortunately, this does not mean they are free. Please send back payment and/or pictures by the due date which will be on the package.
 
 
 

Groups A & B

Children will be divided into groups A &B for the 1st few days of school. I will have a list ready on the 1st day for parents to pick up. Group A only will attend Wed-Fri (Aug 4-6). Group B only will attend Mon-Wed (Aug 9-11). All students will attend beginning Thurs. Aug. 12.

 

Parent Orientation

Monday, August 9th at 6:30

We will begin in the gym for some school wide announcements and then go to our individual classrooms. This is a VERY important meeting that you don't want to miss. We are asking that if at all possible you come without children. However, if you do not have a babysitter, please bring them anyway because we want to see you here! :)

 

Reminders

  • Check folders and initial behavior reports daily.
  • Go over work with your child each night.
  • Send all money/notes in your child's folder (not backpack) and make sure it is labeled.  
  • Read all notes/newsletters carefully and post them on the fridge for reference when you have questions.
  • Blankets will be sent home on Fridays to be washed and returned on Mondays.

 

 

 

     

    Box Tops for Education

    Register at the box tops for education website to earn free box tops for our school. Our school participates in the boxtops for education program. Each one that you save is worth 10 cents for our school. I know that you wouldn't throw away a dime, so please save your boxtops! Boxtops can be found on many brand names including General Mills, Green Giant, Pillsbury, and many others. Begin collecting them today and turn them in to me during the last week of every month.
